There is no argument to be made the the MAC has a worse deal than the MVC.

It's a crappy deal for FBS, but it's better than what the MVC has.

The MAC deal is almost identical to the MVC deal in coverage. That being ESPN+ or bust. They still rarely get nationall televised games. The MVC deal has the leg up as games are on OTA broadcasting.

I'm just going to assume you aren't familiar with how conferences negotiate media rights, but the MVC deal is not in any way, shape or form a "leg up" on what the MAC has and the coverage is not "almost identical." If it were, the MVC would be distributing a couple million to each school from television revenues.

UMass' AD is saying the new MAC deal will increase the revenues for each sport by "eight to ten times."

Brand new episode of the show and it’s our full conference preview. We break down our 1-12 in the Valley, as well as our picks for All-Conference. Were also joined by Harry Schroeder (@FatherHarry1) of ValleyHoopsInsider.com and BustingBrackets to get his thoughts on the league this year, conference realignment and more. Fun show as always, check it out!

Breaking: NIU considering offer to join Mountain West as football-only school, sources told
@ActionNetworkHQ
. A decision if Huskies leave MAC for MW is "imminent," sources said. If NIU joins, MW will have 9 football members & 10 basketball members

Toledo I could get on board with. NIU by themselves should be given absolutely no consideration at all. WE'd honestly be better off with some of the other teams that have been floated around like UMKC or UTA. At least we would increase footprint while bringing on bad basketball.

NIU won't even contact us. They know where their budget sits.

If I were them, I'd get with the OVC but my guess is they end up in the Horizon.

Yeah OVC or Horizon for them. Without Toledo in the picture I wouldn't even pick up the phone if they called.

Horizon makes more sense from a travel budget standpoint for sure.

Plus, I'm sure that the Horizon wants into 'Chicago'...
