Watching Colorado win 52-0 today and explode under Deion, would love to see an MVC school make a high-risk, high-reward hire next year.

Do any MVC schools have enough NIL $$$ to make it work?

Jayson Kent - 17min 6pts 3reb (Texas)
Chuck Bailey - 10min 3pts 1reb (Nevada)
Nate Heise - 16min 3pts 1reb 1ast (Iowa State)
Bowen Born - 20min 6pts 2reb 3ast (Colorado State)
Cade Tyson - 8min 3pts 1reb (UNC)
Malik Dia - 17min 7pts 6reb (Ole Miss)
Connor Hickman - 25min 7pts 3reb (Cincy)
Yacine Toumi - 21min 7pts 4reb (Seton Hall)

For these players where it "hasn't worked out for them" I wonder what they would say about it. After all, NIL money is included in the "working out". Are they happy with their time and productivity for the upgrade in money...if they indeed got more change?

Players who have faired well:
JaKobi Gilespie (Maryland)
Ryan Conwell (Xavier)
Julian Larry (Texas)
Isaiah Swope (SLU)
Alston Mason (Arizona State)
Isaiah Riveria (Depaul)

Several Players are producing similar to their old-school
Troy D'Amico
Clarence Rupert
Scottie Ebube
NJ Benson
Conor Enright

Jayson Kent has been hurt for awhile and it came at an unfortunate time bc I think Texas had another wing player hurt and Kent would have been starting.

Of course not. The death of the mid-major is coming.

Apparently money was more important to them. Or for a guy like Heise, he probably couldn't pass up the chance to play on a top 10 team and also get paid a lot of money.

Valpo with a 89-70 loss at DePaul and they played reasonably well in that effort.

For some context about the DePaul rebuild -

Isaiah Rivera with 19 points in 22 minutes
Troy D'Amico with 11 points in 26 minutes
Conor Enright with 6 points in 27 minutes
NJ Benson with 9 points in 15 minutes - So Valley players gave DePaul 45 points and 90 minutes of play time.

Valpo is clearly improved from last year but just how much is still open for debate.

I don't know where the Blue Demons will finish in the Big East but my quick take is that their great ball movement and 3 point shooting would put them as a top 5 Valley team.

Drake and Indiana St pick up nice wins over Georgia Southern and IONA.

Only bad news is Miami lost at home to 1-7 Charleston Southern. :Bam:

DePaul might be 7-0 but they've played their last easy game of the year. Will be interesting to see what happens when they start playing actual competition (No offense to Valpo)

Missouri St beats Oral Roberts and Indiana St defeats John Tarleton to wrap up the week. Valley is off on Monday.
