The return of Zek is enormous as he can create his own shot where Connor couldnt. We miss Mal on D but Wardle will work the D into better form as the year goes on. And unlike the Drake that plays its top two guys 40 each and every night, our minutes are spread out much more evenly. I didnt know what to expect after Mal and Connor left and thought we'd be 21-10. That mark would be a huge disappointment now. I expect to be ranked by mid January. Net moved from 70 to 54 after last night. Get to 13-1 and lets see those votes! Go BU!

I think we saw peak Bradley last night and their ceiling might be higher than I initially thought, but time to pump the brakes. SIU was leaving guys wide open from 3 and looked utterly lost out there on both ends of the floor. A good team would take advantage of that and Bradley absolutely carved them up.

A couple weeks ago Bradley got blown out by Washington State, a very solid but by no means elite team. There will be nights when the 3s aren't falling and the same rebounding and interior defense issues rear their heads and they'll drop a few games they shouldn't.

I agree with this. They look good, but there's something about this team that still makes me nervous. We're not getting 40 minutes of defense and rebounding from this group in any game. Until we do, I'm not looking for any national rankings.

You really want to say this Bradley team is even close to the 2005-06 Bradley team?

That Illinois State @ Belmont game was one hell of a game. Would love to see something like[*] that in St louis.

UNI thumped UIC 83-56.

Leon Bond had 22 to lead the way. By far UNIs best game of the year.

However, RJ Taylor popped his Achilles and will miss the rest of the year. Backup PG Cael Schmitt is still probably 4 weeks away after a knee injury so it's going to be interesting to see how rotations are going to work. Max Weisbrod and Trey Campbell are going to have to run the show for a while.

The new intro/graphics package on Gray Media is AWESOME! The banners with the logos up against the sunset backdrop with the new music is one of the best I've ever seen. Someone deserves a raise for that. Huge upgrade in the MVC-TV Network presentation.

Ackerman/Muller is a really good broadcasting team. We're lucky to have Valley legends (Muller, Emmenecker, etc) who love the Valley come back and be such good announcers.

UNI is gonna UNI. Look absolutely mediocre in the non-conference only to come back and dominate Valley teams. Is UIC that bad?

It's definitely post-beatdown bliss.

It might not be the best team Wardle has had, let alone the 05-06 team. I'd probably argue for the 06-07 BU team, too.

Regardless of the subjective "best" team debate, BU should be happy about that performance on the road.

2005-06 Bradley team may disagree!

No Doubt the valley was a much better conference with stronger competition in 05-06 but that team was dead in the water until mid January when it all came together. It had 11 losses and was last team in. It had crouch and maybe Franklin as three point threats and POB and Sommerville as more of the inside guys with an awesome wing in Wright. Now Hannah isnt POB by a long shot, but Duke is every bit as good as Ruffin and we have 5 guys who can bomb as opposed to 2-3 on the 05 roster. We lack the big body to board but as long as we can stay close on the boards, our offense is more than good enough to overcome it. Sure, there will always be a couple clunkers, but if youre not thinking minimum 16-4 with this weak arse conference with as experienced and deep a team as BU has this year, i think youre vastly underestimating them.

I mean. Our losses are NETs 25, 45 (N), 63 (N) and 90 (Road). It's not like we've lost a bunch of buy games.

UIC doesn't like to be guarded very much and they had some foul trouble last night. They certainly aren't built for Valley physicality. They feel 9th-ish?
