That's not a blog, it's a manifesto. Stay away from that guy.

I don't think you can talk about being classy when you post every arrest record you can find on every kid from a rival. If a kid gets in trouble fine but you don't have to go post his record. That and the fact that he wont go anywhere he doesn't control the content of makes him a complete....

1. No personal attacks.

Based on rule #1, I think we should simply let this thread die. Tornado should be afforded the same courtesy as everyone else. He has a right to blog and should be treated with respect. Also, we don't know that he isn't a member of this forum posting under one of his several screennames.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

That blog is from a guy that asserts that all other message boards (asside from his own) are full of hate and negativity.

Tornado is the author of the blog quoted in the first post. Tornado is one of the many screennames used by the author of the blog on bradleyfans.com. Without breaking another board rule by identifying his real identity, Tornado is a tool. The longest thread in Valley Talk history revolved around Tornado and his paranoid habits. When MVCfans was created, an invitation to this forum was sent to Bradleyfans.com, but it has been removed. Another one was later sent, here is the link: http://www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showthrea ... vcfans.com

Tornado is quite good at telling people how to run a board. Too bad that Tornado does exactly what he tells MVCfans not to do.

I have not spent much time looking at other team sites over the years, but I have looked around enough to know there is a great deal of difference in how the various boards are run. That's totally fine. What works for Bradleyfans might not work for Panthernation or Salukitalk, etc.

Without speaking for MVCfans, I think the vision for this board is to create a space where fans from all of those sites would feel welcome to share information, discuss Valley sports, and have a little fun with each other (within the bounds of the posted rules). We won't be as strict as some, and we certainly won't be the wild, wild west either.

I like to know what's going on with the other Valley schools, but don't really want to read 10 message boards every day to figure it out. Sure, we are a little heavy on polls and things like that now, but this is a very slow news time for college basketball.

I hope Tornado (and others like him) will feel comfortable to come here and share information that would be of interest to other Valley fans. We don't have to agree on everything, and we can certainly agree that everything posted on message boards should be scrutinized to at least some extent.

I wonder if user1 will register. He is one of the most level headed Bradley posters. Please, user1, register!

I just think it's important to remember that while some here disagree with how Bradleyfans is run, it's still a VERY active board with many members seemingly willing to submit to it's rules. It has also been a source for "breaking" news around the Valley over the years.

UNIPanther is right...the Bradleyfans.com board is well run. The guys running it spend a lot of time and energy to run the board. It is well organized and, at times, has a lot of good Bradley information. It is a good place to go for Bradley fans on recruiting.

Now, I personally disagree with how they run the board. I have personally been banned from the board about 5 times. It has, IMO, a lot more to do with some weird personal vendetta against me that the guys running the board have. Whatever. I've never met them. They erroneously think I want to see Bradley fail. Again, not even close to the truth but I am not going to waste time with people I don't know.

That said--the blog is another matter. The few times I read it I had to wash my eyes out with bleach afterwords. However, its a blog. The author has a right to say what he wants just as we have a right not to read it. Even though it has a "BU Braves" tag line I do think he crosses the line when he thinks he is speaking for the majority of Bradley fans. He isn't.

Anyway...Im not a fan of personal attacks on one poster to another. I hope that stays at a bare minimum here. There are enough good MVC hoops fans to have good hoops discussion without slipping down to third-grade stuff.
