1. Wichita State
2. Creighton

I think you would have few arguements from most other fanbases. There could be much debate after that, but I would throw Illinois State and Bradley as the next two. I honestly would put SIU above MSU in schools important to the Valley.

No. I was just relaying what the person said in the comments section of the Springfield News-Leader and also what he posted saying that people who doubt him would be eating crow. I guess it could be the Sun Belt or WAC so who knows at this point. And people always deny things. CUSA could already have approved us for all we know, they aren't going to be direct with the media.

Wait a second, a guy who wrote something on a newspaper's comment section is what you decided to say was a solid source? Listen to yourself and you will understand why it is a doubted opinion.

So, is this rumor over or just beginning?

just depends on who you believe the WAC will be next followed by Sunbelt just my guess. Someone was in town meeting with the Bears who it was has yet to be seen.

I dunno what's funnier, the rumor of MSU going to Conference USA, or the fans from other schools getting their panties in a wad over it.

In the six years since the C-USA lost Louisville, Marquette, etc., the Missouri Valley has finished higher in KenPom's ratings four times as an overall conference.

It's easy to be blinded by the success of Memphis, but Conference USA is not a better league. It's a larger league, but it's not better. Teams like UTEP, Tulsa, UAB, Houston and Southern Miss have had relative success during the past decade or so, but they would all fit nicely in the Missouri Valley. The rest of the league would finish near the bottom of the MVC. Rice hasn't had a winning season since god knows when. Southern Methodist is a joke, and so is East Carolina.

At worst, the two leagues are even.

Maybe it was the Nike rep? Maybe it was marketing people consulting on how to sell more seats or even reps from other conferences looking at JQH for ideas. Universities and conferences collaborate efforts and talk all of the time. Just because there were people in Springfield doesn't mean there are cloak and dagger negotiations happening.
