Casey, if you think anyone is going to let your CUSA posts be forgotten as long as you are on this message board, you're probably wrong.

I made some overly optimistic comments about a player about a year ago. Even though I tempered them with "if he keeps improving". Well, that player only got mop-up minutes and people are still digging my original post up and quoting it.

Any post you make becomes part of your permanent record. Unlike grade school, your permanent record here is reviewed regularly by others.

It appears that this game takes the place of a road or neutral game WSU was trying to schedule. WSU was offering a H/H starting on the road or a one-and-done neutral site game.

It's tough for an upper-tier Valley team to get a buy game against a BCS school. Those games, when they can be scheduled, don't tend to pay $125K. If this game replaces a road game as a start of a H/H, then WSU is missing a return game and will have to find an opponent for a future home game.

Getting paid $125K to travel a few miles and play an NCAA-caliber team had to be pretty attractive to the athletic department.

WSU is still looking for a game like that, although it's looking more and more like another buy game is going to have to fill that spot.

Wow that is a really good schedule. When was the last time MSU played MU? Will it ever happen?

That does seem to be pretty good. Nevada, Okie St, New Mexico, ORU, Tulsa, Vegas games, and a BB. That's solid.

Twitter: @TribStarTodd: Can't reveal it yet, but Indiana St has added a pretty big name to its MBB schedule. When I get confirmation, I will share
