WSU on verge of landing Hubbard?

Anthony Hubbard, the 26 year old felon who flamed out at Iowa after only 1 month, is rumored to be headed to WSU.

Can anyone confirm this?

I'll go check any source I can find for this.

There have been rumors that WSU was interested, but there are at least 2 players thought to be above him in priority for next year. WSU is still in the hunt for a 6'11" guy who graduated from LSU (this looks like a real long shot - we're competing with Indiana's grad school and SDSU's proximity to where the guy grew up) and a 6'8" guy who was a top-100 prospect in HS and then took a year of prep school.

I know WSU fans generally took an "I'll pass" attitude about this guy. We are one schollie short of full and only have 4 front court players on the roster. The coaches are still working hard to recruit for this year.

I've checked what I can find. It's all over twitter that he's on his way to WSU. Someone tracked the tweets back to their source, which was a CU fan. WSU has a great recruiting info source. Matty P tried to accuse him of stealing "insider" info when tropicalshox consistently had more and better info about CU's recruiting (and had it sooner) than Matty.

The rumor was started by a creighton fan - so I wouldn't put much stock in it.

By Matty P, using the CBJ twitter account and not putting his name to it instead of using the account with his name. This could turn out to be true, we don't know. But it appears Matty P could not take a chance that Hubbard might not end up at WSU. His last sentence makes it clear he wanted to take a swipe at WSU.

If it happens it happens. I trust the coaching staff and know they won't put up with any crap like Altman did for so long with Stinnett. If they feel this guy deserves his 2nd chance then that is good enough for me. I am sure Creighton fans will have alot of fun making signs if this happens. This could go 1 of 2 ways. It could end up as a great story about a young man that made mistakes, paid for those mistakes and went on to a very successfull life after getting his degree. Or he could relapse and make another mistake. Only time will tell which way it goes and it's all in Hubbard's hands.

I know one thing for sure, I am the last person that should be passing judgment so I will wait and see what happens and hope the best for the young man. Plus, there is soooooo much pressure for coaches to win that many times they have to take risks and hope it all pans out.

Matty P is not really a Creighton fan. He is a blowhard opportunist and a sleaze that enjoys pretending to be a journalist, while actually being a egocentric gossipmonger and sensationalist.

Everything that comes from the Bluejay Cafe is from Perrault and Perrault alone. No other Creighton fan that I know of is now adding content or input to that site. there are a few posters that may still visit the messageboards, but that is it.
