5 star recruit Perry Ellis' short list includes Wichita St

i was going to post this, but apparently at one of the KU games he was at he was on his cell phone the whole time. He never had his cell phone out when i looked over at him at the wsu game. At least he was paying attention to our game. i think the pats are a safe bet for winning the super bowl.

The times I've seen recruits at games I usually observe two types of behavior:

1. He is really into the game, appearing to have a great time.

2. He looks like he's attending a funeral.

I think it has everything to do with personality type and if they are trying to present themselves a certain way (ie, to look calm, cool and collected, thereby making an effort NOT to look excited).

I wouldn't read anything into how a recruit looks while attending a game.

Probably a fairly low probability of him staying in Wichita. I am sure it depends on alot of things between now and when he decides. Things like how the future looks for WSU, coaching stability...etc will probably play a role. But there would be zero chance if the staff didn't at least do their best to recruit him to Wichita. Glad they are out there working hard regardless of how many stars a player has next to their name.

Even should Ellis not come to WSU, there is a pretty good amount of talent in Wichita for the next couple of years at least. Would be nice to land a few more (Shox already have Evan Wessel committed).

Ellis isn't taking an official to WSU, but since he lives in town maybe it's not a big deal. Probably not a great likelihood of him playing at Koch.

Why would he take an official visit when he can walk to campus? That's a bit of a waste if you ask me. He may or may not play at Wichita State, but not getting an official visit means nothing in this case.

It's not much of a shock to most WSU fans that WSU didn't make Perry's short list, but Kansas State is ahead of WSU??

That stings a bit. It's like the knife sticking out of our side didn't really hurt much and didn't damage anything vital, so Perry decided to twist it a bit.

Harrison Barnes didn't eliminate Iowa State until his press conference. This is a little different situation since Perry Ellis is no Harrison Barnes and Iowa State and Wichita aren't exactly twins either. I'm not saying, I'm just saying though.
