2011 Forward commits to WSU

James Anacreon has committed for WSU's last scholarship of 2011. He's 6'7", 200 lbs. JuCo. Originally from Queens.

Averaged 14.4 points, 8.1 boards, 1.2 steals last year. 62% FG shooter, 70% FT. 44% from 3, but only attempted 18 all season.

Was an all-region JuCo last year at Lake Land College in Illinois.

His juco position was "wing forward", so he might be considered a SF. His potential position at WSU isn't known, but WSU needed one more guy up front, so he'll probably see time at both PF and SF. Hope he's a quick learner.

Committed to Iona but didn't pass academic muster. Got his AA degree in summer school so is now eligible to play D1 at WSU. Pretty good get this late in the summer.

There sure was a lot of drama trying to fill that last spot at ict.

He's getting a late start, but appears to have the goods. Sure Gregg preferred a backup at the 5 or 4 that can bang. Looking good at the 1,2,3. Stutz will have to play major minutes and really hasn't proved he can do that.

No doubt Stutz will have to step it up this year. If he gets hurts or can't stay out of foul trouble, we could really get hurt down low. We're expecting a juco and an unproven nigerian project to take up the slack and thats a lot to ask.
