He will select KU, I am confident that is the case.

I would like to add that he and his family have carried themselves very well during the recruiting process.

The general consensus is that KU is the leader in this race. Ellis is a well-grounded person. His decision will be made based on what he sees as the facts, rather than on any appearances, glamor, or any other superficial stuff.

WSU's main hopes are based on eating some home cooking, being able to bring his teammates around to his family, his extended family and friends able to watch his college career. Those all appear to be important to Perry and his family, which is why WSU is still on his list.

The questions surrounding KU's conference affiliation are getting tossed around. I doubt that's going to be a big factor. I think his decision will be based more on what he sees as the best situation, and not so much on who his opponents would be. Travel may be a consideration. Perry takes school seriously and won't want to miss many classes.

If Perry chooses KU, there will be some WSU fans following KU through his career there. Perry has enough respect locally and is enough of a class person, that (some) WSU fans who can't stand KU, will support and follow KU basketball as long s Ellis is there.

I would love better talent to be in this conference so that the Valley as a whole could progress....but playing this kid 2-3 times/year could be too much for me...and this one wasn't even committed to UNI

Pretty sure everyone expects him to select KU but with the whole conference thing, who knows? Like haha said, Perry and his family have been masterful at handling this recruiting ordeal. I think most WSU fans will follow Perry at KU (if that's where he chooses to go) even though they might despise the Hawks.

He'd be a great spotlight for the Valley....He'd also bring a lot of losses to the other teams.

The young man is sharp and seems to be a super kid, and it's not surprising given the way they've handled the process. His parents are involved. That's all we need to know about him.

I suspect it will be KU, even to the point I doubt I'll watch the proceedings...but if he chooses WSU, batten down the hatches.

If the Big 12 holds together, it looks like the one chance he'd not attend KU just went out the door.
