If you could start a team with one current MVC player....

I usually go to alot of the "away" games based on my location. I also get to see teams like Indy State, Evansville, SIU play 3-4 games a year sometimes. Some of those games are against non-MVC teams.
I think some times you get a different perspective seeing people play in person than online or TV.
I think there are people that "step up" and really help win at times. For instance since we have been discussing Indiana State a lot, it seems to me if Printy does well and is hitting 3's ISUBlue does well. Same at SIU, if Fay is hitting 3's, especially with 3 minutes or so left, SIU does well. So I am going to pick a team of who I consider these step up players I have noticed.

ISUBLUE = Jordan Printy
Evansville = Clint Hoph
Drake = Ryan Wedel
WSU = Garrett Stutz
SIU = Carlton Fay

Of course you could argue anyone that steps up or has a good night helps win. But thse are guys I noted personally that when I see thier teams play and they have a good night, the team is hard to beat.
There are definately many others, these were some that come to mind easily.
I know the question asked for one but I picking this "step up" team.

i like the thought on Printy BUT, this isnt about ISU blue...I think Clint Hopf is an interesting player to me...I am not quite sure what he is good at but i like his effort

Either Carmichael or Eugene Teague. You don't get a guy of his size, strength, and hands in the Valley too often. And how is anybody projecting Jake Kelly to be in the NBA? He's done nothing to deserve that recognition. Tatum didn't make it. Osiris didn't make it. Brooks didn't make it. Sommerville didn't make it. And there are many more I could name. Jake Kelly isn't better than any of them were.

Taylor Brown.

His FR. year his minutes were limited due to playing behind Theron Wilson.
TB showed his SO. year he can play in this league and is a top 5 or 6 returning scorer and rebounder.
I think if TB expands his outside shot, he will be a 1st team all-MVC his JR. year.

I didn't feel like reading all the posts- but here's my take: Koch, and a few others are very good, but because of the pure talent this kid has, you HAVE to go with Gregory Echenique, and it's not even close. This kid could have gone anywhere ( Florida, Memphis, Duke, ect) but chose to come to Omaha. In all honesty, we are very lucky to have him. It's about the only good thing Dana and the staff did good in the past 3 years.

I would probably go with Kenny Lawson...Sam Maniscalco and Kyle Weems considered. Those 3 are the only returning players who were either 1st or 2nd team All-Conference so it makes sense to start there. In the end I would choose Lawson because a quality PF is the hardest position to fill in our league.
