Crush? No.

Last year these two teams were equals, based on the outcome and competitiveness of the games. The game in St Louis was a classic, coming down to an isolation last shot. What a play..............

We need to be able to win, regardless of Colt's scoring. He is due for a bad scoring game and others will have to fill the void.

I see I tight contest.

Wow, I got berated on here for mentioning a ref call after a game against Evansville last week and now you have an Evansville fan, of all people, complaining about the refs BEFORE the game. I bet we aren't gonna see any Evansville fans complain about this post though.

I'm not really sure what ACECARD is referring to about the referees, I'll let him explain if he wants to, I will say I've had no real problem with the refs the last couple games. I tend to believe that over the course of a game calls have a way of evening out. I just hope that whether we win or lose, the game doesn't come down to the final possession again. Being the good Catholic boy that I am, I've used my yearly quota on cuss words over the last two games and I'm running low on whiskey, so here's hoping for a drama free finish this game.

I don't care how much we've been losing. Why do you have to be so negative man? lol.

http://tribstar.com/sports/x608925366/E ... -toughness

"So who better to test the Sycamores’ toughness quotient than Evansville.....?
Tribune Star Newspaper

“The thing about Evansville is that they’re probably the toughest team to play in the league and we have to out-tough him. We’ll see if our guys can step up and deal with it,”
Jake Odum, ISU Point Guard

“I’m never too optimistic about playing Evansville just because [of their toughness]. Marty [Simmons, Evansville coach] gets them to play as tough and together as any team I’ve ever seen. I think that’s the best compliment you can give a coaching staff,”
ISU coach Greg Lansing

The Sycs need this one badly as they don't want to fall to 1-4 in Valley play. The line seems a bit high to me so I'd take the points, but I expect a battle here.

Not sure why I have to explain anything. It's pretty simple. If you're tied with 10 seconds with left in the game, the refs call, whether right or wrong, can go a long way in determining who will win the game. If you are 10 points ahead with 10 seconds left, no refs call can determine the out come of the game, so therefore you have taken the refs out of the game. It's especially important when you are on the road.

But that isn't what you said in your original post. In your original post, you said that if the Aces don't take the refs out of the game, "the Aces will lose by one or two." That implies that you think the refs will deliberately screw over the Aces, which is either paranoid or stupid. Why would the refs deliberately try to give an Indy St team, that is really struggling by the way, the victory? InSU probably doesn't really have at large chances left right now, so I don't see why they would be favored.

The last three games between these two have been "barn burners" down the stretch, and I don't see it being much different tonight.

UE 68
ISU(b) 66

If we lose another close game, I'm gonna start believing in the bad karma we must have gotten from the end of the Butler game.

Colt Ryan: over/under 26 points tonight?
