Honestly, I'm more interested in % of student attendance than I am in % of metro population. You larger schools should be able to get decent attendance numbers on students alone. How big schools like UNI and IlSU, etc have such miserable student attendance is beyond comprehension to me. Creighton's enrollment is less than half of UNI's and I bet the number of CU students that attend games is greater (or at least equal). IlSU's enrollment is about 3X Creighton's yet CU students attend in larger numbers.
By the way, the argument that another town that is a mere 7 minutes away is too far for people to trek is really, really weak. It takes me at least 25 minutes to get from my house to the arena and I'd bet the same is true of most CU season ticketholders.
