I'm hoping UNI pulls this one out because it might salvage their at large chances and I want 3 MVC teams in the dance if possible. They need to shoot really well tonight though cause WSU will dominate them on the boards.

I don't know how we handle Stutz and Hall. Plus if Kyles is hitting or Ragland. We have an obvious deficit in almost all aspects of this game. We need to play hard, and make sure to box out. I think we also need to hit some shots, and not play nearly as bad against a zone as we did against Bradley. Jacobson said he didn't have the team prepared for Bradley, and I fully expect they will be ready tonight. I, however, expect this game to be probably a 15+ point victory for WSU because I just don't think we can match up.

I'll say it since I think a lot of people may be thinking it: If the Valley wants three bids, it's best chances are for WSU and CU to run away from the rest of the pack and then have someone else win in St. Louis.

As much as I hate it, I think that is UNI's only chance at this point barring a run of 10-2 or something like that to close the season. I don't know that they are going to be given the benefit of any doubt with 4 double digit losses on the resume already.

As for tonight, I really have know idea which UNI team will show up. If the November/December team shows up, we can give it a game. If the team that played vs Ohio or the second half against Bradley or Evansville, Wichita's scrubs will get a lot of minutes.

You know several of us said at the start of the season that UNI and MSU would be the most unpredictable MVC teams. Because they both have so many new players that are talented but still new and untested. That's a recipe for inconsistency and chemistry issues.

I think that's exactly what we are seeing with both UNI and MSU. Wildly up and down play. But if one or both can put it together by the end of the season I think either would have a shot at winning the tournament.

Totally agreed.

Both have shown some flashes of great basketball, but both have had too many lapses, which as you said was something that was expected by both coming into the year. I think the fast start that UNI had in the non-conf, and the fast start that MSU had in conf play probably got some fans from both schools hopes up a little higher than maybe they should be.

But if you look at the season's of UNI and MSU as a whole, and compare them to what expectations were coming into the season, I think that things have played out pretty much as expected. Both teams, on a given night can be a dangerous opponent for any team, and both have a shot of making a run in STL IMO.

I believe UNIs post defense is taught by a judo MMA fighter.

Shocks win! Stutz is seriously injured by the UNI grab, drag, and shove defense.

Awesome game to watch! I was switching back and forth from the Creighton game. What happened to Stutz?
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!
