As in, it will really take some magic to come true.

MoValleyJohn, I expected some falling back to earth, and posted so earlier this year. Every team is gonna give the Sycs their best this year after that run in STL last year. I didn't expect it to look like this. I don't have much going in the way of connections on campus anymore, so I can't even speculate if it's bad leadership, egos, or something else. I definitely don't think it's the coach...at least not yet. He's got some leeway at this point still in my book.
Just for the record, my comment wasn't trolling. I knew you guys were struggling, but have only really paid attention to the top, CU,WSU, UNI and MSU. When I looked at the standings, I was shocked that you guys were struggling this badly. I didn't have ISU Blue penciled in at third in the preseason, but I had them nowhere near 2-6 right now.

From NCAA tournament team to possible cellar dwellar. Couldn't happen to a better group of bandwagon fans!

I really don't get how you concluded this.

Where are some of the "big" ISUB fans? They are nowhere to be found.
If the Trees were 6-2 instead of 2-6, I could name a half dozen fans that would be prancing around here like peacocks.
Borderline same thing for UNI fans, but not as bad. However under 5k last night was weak. I could hear WSU fans taking over the low brass cheer (UNI version) late in the game. Sad.
Aargh wrote:Welcome, stranger You must be new to these parts. At least you must not have been here last summer when we endured more than a little hype from a few InSU fans who were convinced that 3 games in March last year was an indication of royalty this year.
We also heard how Odum was going to beat DMac for POY. Actually, we heard about Odum no matter what the original thread had been. He was brought up in about every thread as the greatest player in the history of the Valley - right up there with Larry Bird.
Karma's a B with an itch and those of us who endured the off-season out here are feeling some sweet justice for a few InSU fans who were more than impressed with their team in the off-season.
I think DU alone in 3rd is more of a surprise than InSU alone in 9th.
