Hope Elgin understands.

ESPN has to realize the MVC is the flagship conference in this event and the MVC has to realize that if ESPN doesn't want to play fair then we need to quit.

And how does this benefit the MVC?

What I don't understand is why ESPN wouldn't want the CU-St. Mary's and WSU-Murray State match ups. I just can't wrap my head around their logic.

It doesn't, but getting St. Mary's/Murray State does. If we could just start an MVC/CAA challenge during BB weekend, BB is done. I don't just want us to take being effed over.

If we get screwed on the match-ups, how does that help the MVC?

I don't think they are looking at it that way. They are trying to get the biggest bump out of a Murray St match-up.

I do wonder if a St. Mary's loss tonight to BYU would move Wichita State into that slot against Murray State.

MVC should be playing hardball, (like BCS teams do all the time with scheduling midmajors) MVC gets the two best match ups or we are done supporting the fraud aka bracket busters.

BirdmanBB wrote:Right now I think Creighton, WSU, MSU, Drake and Indiana St. could all be on some form of ESPN. You have to keep in mind that the home teams have much stronger RPI's than the road teams this year. You are going to get a lot of teams within the top 100 playing teams outside of the top 100. This is why I think Indiana St. has a chance at the very least some sort of ESPN game as there are 13 televised ones this year.

Check out the RPI's. Road teams are not as good as home teams this year. Right now Indiana St. is matched with VCU which also happens to be the 13th matchup......and there are 13 ESPN matchups.

Redbirds are a home team with a 114 RPI. We would have been better served to be on the road this year as we would have been the 9th or 10th best road team, however this year we are the 19th best home team.

I think we will get the matchups we want unless ESPN wants to try to spread CU, WSU, St. Mary's and Murray St. out to 4 different games to maximize viewers. I think they would still be better off with CU-St. Marys and WSU-Murray St. It will happen.
