The Panthers will do what they always do.

1. Run a set over and over and over, until they get a good shot.

1a. Tough, in-your-face defense.

2. Low fouls.

3. Low turnovers.

4. Low scoring game.

5. Let opponent beat itself.

If UNI shoots well, they will win.

One of my least favorite Valley players is Jake (sometimes I disappear) Koch. If he pulls a disappearing act, the Panthers lose. In conference play, he is shooting 31.2% and 24.4%. Not heart warming stats.

Will UNI rush the court if they win?

Probably.....which is stupid....

I think rushing the court/field in any circumstance is stupid.
But I think beating a conference rival who is ranked #12 in the country, and given the McDermott history, on a buzzer-beater is a better reason for rushing the court than most other court-rushing instances (like beating Iowa or ISU) have been.

That was a heck of a basketball game. Antoine Young has been a thorn in our side so many times, and I thought he had done it again. Forcing overtime like that would have given CU a lot of momentum for OT. Luckily it didn't matter as AJ came through! We have no played 3 straight 3 point games with the Jays.

It is frustrating why UNI doesn't play that hard against everyone. They play so hard against teams like Creighton, and Wichita but lack enthusiasm against lower level teams. Only 2 turnovers for the game was huge. That made up for the fact that we got out rebounded by 14. I really hope we don't go lay an egg at Koch Arena Wednesday now though.

This was a worthy court rushing time. That was a top 15 ranked team. If you can't rush the court to celebrate with your team in that situation then you never should. Of course some of you may feel that way.

Wow, big time win for UNI. Needed to get one of the two versus CU and WSU to breathe life into our chances to avoid Thursday. This one can hopefully can propel the Panthers the rest of the year-let's get greedy and get both top teams in a row. The freshmen (Tuttle and Mitchell) are stepping up in big ways, AJ looked nice coming back, Jake with a clutch 3 when we needed it. Will be very glad to see Antoine Young graduate-seems to light up UNI every time we play.
