They try to find ways to not let you in and I think Bradley, Evansville at home, and even Illinois State and Indiana State can be seen as rough loses. Especially because some of these teams are going to do awful in the valley tourney since someone has to lose. I would see teams like Illinois get in over UNI because that is the way it works. I hope I am wrong but I don't think I am.

I think you are correct, but the question was not whether UNI would get selected but whether UNI could play their way back on the bubble? The answer to that question is absolutely YES. The RPI for UNI is around 50 right now, only one more loss the rest of the way and they will probably stay in the top 50, possibly even with two losses. UNI will be a team talking heads will point at and then leave on the outside because of our bad losses while contorting however they can to justify that 8th or 9th or 10th Big 10+2 or ACC or Big East team. Lunardi may even tease us with being in his sets of first or second 4 out for the last few weeks.

Let me be clear, I don't think we get an at-large in any way this year, but we will be mentioned with the bubble teams. More than 1 or 2 losses and we are done from even that list.

Yeah I would agree with that. This thread is meaningless then if we are trying to get teams to be talked about as on the bubble and not get in. I mean honestly who cares that they would make the bubble. If you are not getting in, you might as well be 100th or w/e. Might as well lose a few more games because it is more heartbreaking to be on the bubble. Will just haunt everyone from what happened in Peoria.

If UNI gets to that 22 to 24 win mark yes UNI is at least on the bubble. But lets keep the cart behind the horse, this UNI team I feel is capable of doing that, but with them being the most bi-polar basketball team ever I have no idea what they might do.

Play Good Defense
Make Layups
Make Free Throws
Shoot above 35% from 3pt Land

UNI Wins when those things happen

I think there is a consensus that it isn't out of the realm of possibility but it is unlikely. Let's make that clear before some of you start believing that UNI fans are buying tickets for the dance after last night.

There is zero chance for any MVC team with 10 losses to ever get an at large bid. It isn't going to happen...period.

I take that back, if they expand the field to 96 it might happen.

When you are on the bubble, it isn't about who you've lost to. It's about who you have beat.

IF, IF, IF, IF

UNI gets to 24 wins, that is a win over Iowa State, Colorado State, WSU, CU, and another one against WSU or CU

Plus it would be at least one more top100 RPI win over VCU, maybe MSU in STL.

Plus, their RPI would be less than 40.

Hell, if UNI goes 8-1 and someone other than CU or WSU beats them in STL for the title, why not 4 bids?

Again, likely to happen? No. But at this point with the league being a run away, it's fun for the other fans to speculate what could be...

It's happened before:

Bradley was 20-10 in 05/06 when they got an at-large bid.

UNI was 21-10 in 04/05 when they got an at-large bid.

Could someone with the appropriate user rights post a poll that reads....

Which is more likely to happen?
1) UNI will receive an at-large bid or
2) UNI will play on Thursday night in St. Louis

I think that answer would be interesting.

Thursday night. Not even close because they have no shot at an at-large.

I know, it must be hard, as a redbird fan, to understand or even conceive of the idea of an at-large bid...

I know when you are not going to get one. Like UNI this season. It is a matter of fact, its not even a possibility.
