If you think about it, which I am trying not too...but that is really amazing.

Still a long ways to go....8 regular season games left plus the tourney but who would have predicted this!

I am guessing not Dana Altman. :P

As far as seedings go, a 3 seed - I will believe it when I see it. If it is true as Lunardi has right now, playing Nevada at a 14 seed would not much of a reward. I do like the idea of keeping the Jays in the Midwest region even though Omaha is out.

Yeah, Nevada seems like a tough 14 seed. I can't see the Jays getting any higher than 3 even if we win out. I think a 3 seed is probably the ceiling if we win out and if we lose a few games, a 4 or 5 seed is more likely...

According to Lunardi's chat today...

Dan (Ohio)

How bad did the 3OT loss this weekend hurt Wichita State?

Joe Lunardi
(4:40 PM)

A blip, Dan, not to worry.

Is anybody really arguing otherwise? A loss at Drake is not a bad loss. Really, outside of a loss against SIU or Bradley (and maybe Evansville and Indy St) this year, no MVC losses are bad losses - just have to make sure there aren't too many of them.

CBS Sports new bracket out. WSU a 7 and Creighton a 4. UNI one of the first four out. If they are going to give WSU a 7, I would hope they would put them in Omaha with KU. He is also only giving the PAC 12 one bid and that is Washington as a 13 seed.

I completely agree with the Pac-12 only getting one bid. They have done nothing outside of their conference to merit anything more than an automatic bid. I think I saw a stat somewhere that as a conference they are 1-31 against the top 50.

I hope the selection committe has a sense of humor and gives us a match up with KU or K State since they have avoided us for almost a decade or so now.

Lunardi gave the PAC-12 3, yes, 3 bids in his latest bracketology. What a joke!

I agree only one top 50 win in all of the league in the non conference. Stolen from Shockernet below and if this wasn't a BCS league, none of the teams would even be in a discussion for an at large bid.

Cal, record 18-6, rpi 48, 0-4 against the top 50, Best non-con win: #87 Weber State, Best overall win: #65 Arizona. Their worst losses: #165 Washington State, #122 Oregon State.

Washington, record 16-7, rpi 76, 0-4 agaisnt the top 50, Best non-win: #138 Georgia State, Best win overall- #83 Oregon

Arizona, record 16-8, rpi 65, 1-4 against the top 50 (they beat Cal #48), Best non-conference win: #84 New Mexico st. Best overall win: #48 Cal.

Good site here who takes all of the brackets and averages them out.
