Panthers had no chance with the way WSU shot the ball tonight, unreal. Thought UNI played well for stretches, and it was impressive that they made the big run to cut a 21 point lead to 3. WSU was just too much.

Honest question: What are WSU fan's expectations for this year? With this type of talent I think anything less than a 2nd round showing will be a disappointment.

I know fans tend to be cautiously optimistic when their team is having a top-25 type year, but I have to believe Shocker fans know this type of experience (5 seniors) doesn't come around very often and a failure to capitalize during these seasons can really hold a program back.

My expectation is they have to finish strong and get into the NCAA tournament. If they don't then that would be a disappointment. Whether they have a chance to win a game or two will depend on seeding and the match-up they get.

Right now my goal for this team is to get into the NCAA Tourney. After that is to have a good enough seed (7 or lower) to advance to the sweet 16, anything after that is gravy

Right now, I'm just looking to ge to the NCAA's. If the Shox get to the NCAA's, it would just about take winning out (other than maybe winning it all in St. Louis) to get something like a 6 seed. A 7 - 10 seed requires getting lucky and getting a draw against an overrated team to have much of a chance to make the S16.

On paper, last year's WSU team would beat this year's WSU team. It's a long ways from winning the NIT to going S16 in the NCAA's.

WSU's 2006 S16 team had better chemistry than this WSU team. This team is more athletic and has better depth, but the 2006 team got some unbelievably favorable draws in the NCAA's.

UNI took out an overall #1 seed to get to the S16, but KU suffers from arrogance and overconfidence against what they view as inferior opponents and they blow those games. If WSU would draw KU in the second round, KU would not overlook WSU.
