When they play like that even Creighton can't touch them.

Wrong. WSU played better than this in blowing out a ranked UNLV team.

This.

I wanted to mention that, but I got sidetracked. WSU's game against UNLV was WAY better than they played against UNI. Hard to even compare the games. Unless you watched the UNLV game, you don't understand just how good this Shocker team can play.

WSU took UNI to the woodshed. Hard for UNI to play with the same focus level after the emotional game Saturday.

This is the way I expected the Shocks to play all year. I picked them to win the conference before the season stated because of their guards and tonight they showed what they can do.

Pretty scary that they will be coming in to Omaha with all of the confidence that this blowout provides, especially when the Jays are reeling a bit. Maybe we'll got lucky and they Shockers will be overconfident.

I'm pretty sure the players want to beat the crap out of Creighton. There is NO way they overlook the game, it would be more likely they just don't hit shots and go 1- 25 from 3.
Go Shockers!

The post-game comments from Kyles and Ragland towards the Creighton game revolved around paybacks, not over-confidence.

I'd take that too. :D

Sometimes a good team just plays bad. Every team does. Only the basketball gods can explain it.

As I was driving home, I listened to the Shocker Locker Show. This is what I thought I heard.

1. In the last 15 minutes of the second half, the Panthers only scored 3 baskets.

2. In the last 17 minutes of the second half, the Panthers only scored 13 points.

The above is so un-Panther like. It is hard to believe it is true.

The Shocks blew a 21 point lead and barely survived to stop the hemorrhaging at +3. Then the Shocks went on to win the game by 25. Go figger.

Usually, when the Shocks blow a big lead, they have to struggle to get a close win or they lose. Tonight was an aberration.

I like Tuttle. His free throw shot is pure. He is going to be really good. Sonnen was giving us fits. I was surprised, when Coach Ben Jacobson took him out for good.

UNI honestly played well for most of tonight. Wichita couldn't miss anything all night except for during the run where we cut it to 3. Then Wichita went on another string of consecutively made jump shots and I think we kinda entered panic mode which is what made the final score so ugly. I'll take that kind of play the rest of the year. I don't know if there's a college basketball team in the country that would've won in Wichita tonight.

Per the post game coverage;

In the last three minutes of the first half and first three minutes of the second half, UNI outscored WSU 22-4. For the other 34 minutes WSU outscored the Panthers 78-35.

WSU (minus the Creighton game) has shot 51.5% from the field over it's last 20 games. They shot slightly better tonight at 56%.

David Kyles moved into the top 5 for career three-pointers made at WSU.
