After UNI beat CU in the McLeod Center, DJA claimed, because of the court storming, it was the biggest game in UNI's history.

I'll be interested to hear his explanation for CU's court storming in this game. So, in a way, yes I am serious.

Now I know why he goes by DoubleJay...Because at CU they do everything TWICE!

For those who didn't see it, I added the video to The MVC Report:

Great win and yes, I think the court storming was stupid. I guess a 9pm start allows the students to get liquored up but it was still dumb.

Kyle, you omitted acouple of other things I said about the UNI-CU game. I noted that it was sold out days in advance, it was your largest crowd all year, that UNI fans were all lathered up about the return of the Mcdermotts, etc. This game was not a sell out by CU, nor was it our largest crowd. But yes, the court storming (whether by drunk students or not) was stupid. FWIW, I honestly can't remember the last time Creighton students stormed the court at home....

There was no opportunity for CU to storm the court for their record setting crowd...

Next game I would have the fans storm the court at halftime to celebrate a lead.

Nice win by the Jays. At least 2 teams upheld their part in the BB.

The court storming was a little silly. But it's not that big a deal. It is pretty ironic though that UNI got so much flak for doing the same thing. I'm also pretty sure I saw a flop by Doug McD? From the team that NEVER flops??? It's funny how comments like that come back to bite you.

Doug was awesome. He's an amazing player. Hard to believe he's a sophmore.

court storm police are working over time. interesting. i, personally couldn't care less that uni stormed the court against cu, they won on a 25 foot buzzer beater. just like last night, cu had been trailing the whole game basically and they won a buzzer beater and in the context of that game potentially saving their season as far as getting in the NCAAs who fricking cares that a couple hundred students and cheerleaders ran onto the court. it doesn't matter who the game was against. did it need to be kentucky? it was a top 50 rpi team and a massively important game for cu. now, if there are some 30 somethings thrown in that mix, or older, i could care about that and that would be lame.

JaysOnJays wrote:Then the kegs came. It was a 9 o clock start and as many of you know alcohol is served at the CLink, but even in the intoxication people still hadn't thought about storming the court. Then security made a mistake. They asked if they should allow people to storm the court to the marketing department who said it doesn't really matter, if they do then they do, because who would storm the court for a 19-6 team? Well... when the liquored up students found out they weren't going to be stopped if they rushed they took that as we are going to rush.

Proof that CU is a Catholic institution.

Meanwhile, Ford Center security (run by the Mormons?) felt it was necessary to eject a couple students for having a few too many
