Ever since attending a game there, I've been of the belief that the heat in that place was the secret weapon behind SIU's home court advantage and winning streak for so long. I always thought opponents wore down in the second half due to the intense heat that they were not accustomed to. (SIU's recent home struggles have taken some wind out of my theory, but it does get hot in there... or at least it did...)
