It wasn't as if Creighton was getting all the calls, there were definitely a few in the 1st half and the first part of the 2nd half that went UE's way. And I attribute CU getting so many calls not due to some biased, but the fact they took the ball to the rim over and over and over again. You'll get calls that way. Meanwhile, UE was taking jump shots, and making most of them. In the end there were calls that went both ways that were awful.

Observation: McDermott was being protected.

My belief: McDermott should be protected.

So, we need to deal with it.

First off.....great game by Colt and Denver.....the Aces played good enough to win, but couldn't pull it out. I want to echo 1982's sentiments about the refs, while let's just say I don't think they had their best game, they didn't cause the loss. If we don't get 2 straight shot clock violations at the end of regulation, the refs are a moot point. I will admit to almost throwing my daughter's magic wand (don't ask) on the Harris foul, but those things happen. All we can do is move on and get ready for the next nailbiter.

If aces play on Thursday night, they may be he best 7 seed in the history of arch madness.

News flash - refs suck and make bad calls. There were no agendas or protections, just bad refs.

On to Saturday

Agree 100%.

We had our chances.....................

How many missed FTs?

How many driving layups into a 6'10 player who is a shot blocker? Why not a soft jump shot?

How many shot clock violations?

We almost won this game without Ryan Sawvell playing in the second half. Talk about a helluva game.

The only team that may want to play us next weekend is Drake University and you know what they say about beating a team 3 times in one year.

Go Aces
Beat the Jays

I'm scratching my head about that one too. I had figured the line to be around - 17 or -18. Easy cover for the Bluejays.

I would bet the farm. A 19 point swing and you believe its more like 25-26. Have you got down yet?

Go Aces
Beat the Jays....and the bookies

Looks Like someone was wrong here Hope the financial setback was ......well whatever

   Colt Ryan

Obviously the defensive strategy was to simply wear Ryan out by letting him shoot so damn much. The ingenious plan worked as he left his last two shots just a bit short.

I agree that a few bad calls by the refs don't beat you....but one obvious call against Harris on his rebound took away our possession, gave them free throw opportunities...and made the difference in a close game...so, yes, the refs can do a lot to change the direction of a game, and that is exactly what happened tonight!

Aces outplayed the Jays tonight. They had two critical shot-clock violations which really hurt us, and, yes, so did the refs. The call didn't cost us the game, but it sure helped Creighton win it...so, yeah, that's kind of a bitter pill to swallow.

I'm proud of the Aces....they fight and scrap and keep on putting forth great effort in spite of endings like this. Colt is a beast....and, on any other team he would be getting accolades from everyone. I'm glad he is an Ace. I'm glad he will be wearing the purple again next year....and I hope he gets the chance to show St. Louis what he can do. And Denver....wild man that he is....what a game!

When the Aces run out on the court they don't look like they will be much trouble..undersized, no real center (though Sawvell plays his butt off), ......yet, in game after game, trouble they are.

8 games now lost by a total of 14 points! Our 14 wins would be 22 wins. This team is a whole heck-of-a lot better than our record shows.

'8 fouls on UE to close out regulation, while Creighton had 3. Two straight offensive fouls, and several questionable calls down the stretch. I still am trying to figure out what Harris did in OT which resulted in McDermott's FT attempts which gave them the 1 pt. lead they needed' poster on ECP

DJ, I know you are being sarcastic and that is ok.

If I am a CU fan, I wonder if my team has peaked.
