Not that it is going to happen, but what do league bylaws say about movement of a school in or out of the conference? How is it done? Certainly the league can't kick someone out?

Except it is Evansville which has track record where the school itself indicated they are not sure they should be in Div I. MVC teams need to do the league a favor - pummel them all year round and help the Evansville administration make the decision to leave Div I.

Lets get the record straight and squash all rumors.

The school has not talked about dropping to DII recently. You are refering back about 8 years ago. It has never been brought up since.

I don't care if the Evansville administration has talked about it or not, the rest of the league has to get on the same page and tell the programs not carrying their weight to step up or go away.

Yes, that's you Evansville. You are a DII program....I just wish you'd start living like it.

Just a quick reminder that D II program beat UNI and WSU late in the year last year.

Evansville does not belong in this league. And it's not just basketball. Their entire athletic program is God-awful.

I agree, they do not belong in this conference. I have said it myself. Nor do they belong in D II.

They should transfer to the MAC or to the Horizon League.

Bears won 73-46 over DII Upper Iowa...pretty sloppy game as the staff tried to give the 4 frosh a lot of minutes. Mallett and frosh Nathan Scheer had 12pts each to lead the Bears while Creekmore (11pts), Weems (10pts) and Patterson (10pts) also scored in double figures. Adam Leonard didn't play for precautionary reason after running into a teammate in practice on Thursday.

If UE decided to leave the MVC, the Horizon would make a lot more sense than the MAC. Since Evansville doesn't have a football team, the MAC probably wouldn't be interested in them. Also, the MAC is made up for the most part (completely?) with state schools, so a very small private like UE wouldn't fit in.

To me that is recent. ;)
