What is everyone thinking? We all know that the Shockers are the perennial 9th place team, completely incapable of winning a championship and/or a 2nd round NCAA Tournament game like UNI and CU.

An unproven point guard and an unproven coach. That equals a 9th place finish.

With all the talk about Echenique, I thought Lawson might get overlooked. Shoot, has a POY ever lost his starting job midway through the year? If the plan is to play the big guys together that will be the best pair in the league.

Echenique and Lawson certainly will be a good tandem. I look forward to the match-up between them versus Durley and Stutz (as well as Blair and Orukpe).

Good to see Wichita State, MSU, and Creighton near the top. Good for the Valley when these schools play well. Can't wait for senior night in Springfield against the Shockers. Hopefully the top of the valley can handle the bottom half of the league. 18 conference games takes a toll, but in order to have a chance of 2 or even 3 bids we have to have some separation.

I have tentative plans to make it to Springfield for that game. Could be a lot of fun and an important game for both teams.

1) In the last 10 years how many preseason picks for MVC champs have been right? I don't think anyone should assume WSU wins this going away.

2) No way does Lawson win POY if Creighton finishes fourth.

Who is assuming WSU is gonna win this going away? They are the preseason favorites and deservedly so. That's it.
