In addition to the pre-game recognition of the Srs - and their families presence at CKA - Toure Murry's mom is singing the National Anthem.
The level of emotion and sense if urgency and pressure at the beginning of the game could have the Shox come out wound a little too tight. I hoppe the Shox don't fall into the "Mission Accomplished" trap while they're still in a war.
I think the Shox will win even if they come out tight and without the pressure of winning a conference title. In that case, I expect a close game until maybe mid-way into the second half.
If the Shox come out focused, ready to play, and play a solid game and if they can shut out all the distractions and emotion, then it could get ugly for the Bulldogs, but I don't think that's going to happen.
Marshall is emphasizing that this is a game that has to be won. He's not changing the starting lineup because it's Sr. Day. Williams is getting the start and Kyles is coming off the bench.
