Backup big man for the redbirds, Jordan Threloff, will miss the MVC tourney with a microfracture in his thumb. Jackie needs to be a little more mindful of foul trouble.

In his only meaningful game, on the road vs. SIU, he had 9 pts, 9 boards and 4 blocks in 22 minutes. He also held Seck to 3 pts and 3 rebounds. A small sample size but as a shocker fan that watches all the games, he does add some excitement and is fun to watch.

Not to diverge the thread more than it has, but he's actually been in several games due to injury or fouls where he has been in the game during crunch time (at Tulsa for instance)

He's not a big offensive threat, and mostly sets screens on the offensive end. But it is very interesting to watch WSU when he comes in the game (esp with Cotton). They tend to run a much different defensive form, often going to a high pressure full court press ... using EO as a safety in case the opposing team breaks through.

On Topic: it looks like the injury situation could play a big factor in the Lou....for all teams. Sounds like there's a nasty flu going through at least a couple of MVC cities.

for Indiana State, Jordan Printy was listed in the paper as having the flu this week and made the trip down to St. Louis today, no word on if he will play or not tonight.

per the TH paper, quite a few INS players have had the flu recently.

Bearz77, I knew my post would draw the wrath of at least 2-3 of the Bear faithful. At least you were fair. Glad to see Coach Lusk has supporters on the board. The guy has a good rep and will grow into the job. But I am slightly biased, Asst Coach Pat Baldwin is one of our local high school basketball heroes in my current hometown and I really want to see him do well at MSU. I just drove through Wentzville and will be in St Louis in about an hour or so.

May the Bears be a step too slow, lethargic, and willing to not guard the 3 point line ;)

Two OT games means one team will take control early and win by 9 points.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

This is what Paul Suellentrop just posted to twitter:

WSU's sickness appears to be fading. Ragland and Stutz practiced today at Scottrade Center. Both say they are feeling better.
