I am glad you don't condone his actions at the press conference. He did give alittle credit to Jank and ISU.

But his actions were a contrast to the little praise he gave to Jank. The whole we are having our press conference first thing is very disrespectful in coaching circles. It's basically telling Jank and the world that we are going first because well, we should have won that game no matter what the scoreboard says. Marshall was making a point to the MVC by cutting in line there. It's right up there with everything else he said about "seeing strange things out there today" and liking his chances on a true neutral court. Marshall should consider him lucky it was Jank he cut in front of and not someone like McDermott, Lansing, or Simmons. I don't think they would have taken it as well as Jank did.

Shockers fans I love you guys. But your Coach embarrassed the heck of your program on Saturday. I am sure you guys love him more than ever, as he is coming across as standing up for his team. But outside of Shocker nation, I think you guys have a really good idea how the world views Gregg Marshall these days.

Right or wrong, I wish you guys all the luck in the Big Dance.

I'm a fan of Marshall on the way he recruits and coaches the players. If he "cut" in front of Jank to do his press conference he owes him an apology. I'm sure he would have said something if the shoe was on the other foot. The way things have gone in St. Lou are almost mind boggling to Shocker fans, ejected his first tourney (only coach to be ejected), Booker Woodfox (why haven't we ever seen the video from the baseline?), and then this year. I'm more pissed about Woodfox then this year as you have to make a shot in the last 5 minutes of a game if you want to win. The call with Higgins giving the ball to the Redbirds when it was clearly out on Illinois St is tough to swallow when you are up 1 with 40 seconds left. WSU would have had the ball with Illinois St almost having to foul.

I think he's a great coach who is a poor loser and refuses to give credit to an opponent when his team blows a 13 point lead and doesn't make a field goal the last 6 minutes of the game yet blames the officials and league commissioner instead.

I don't condone the way he acted during the press conference and I don't believe there is a conspiracy, but did you listen to the press conference? He did give credit to Jank and Illinois St.

He said it, but his body language and actions indicated that his statement was less than sincere.

I think we've all watched the presser. It looked like a guy descending into madness - something right out of an old Twilight Zone episode.

It is sad that you don't want you coach to show any class. Not exactly shocking, but certainly sad.

That's fine. I get pissy when we go to Peoria and weird things happen too. But what happened in the past with your Shockers has absolutely nothing to do with my Redbirds from Saturday.

And I think that's why this whole thing with Marshall really ticks some of us off. Because he did just about everything in his power to make it about HIM and not give credit where it was due.

No doubt a missed call. As was the one where Stutz threw Wilkins to the ground and got Wilkins a flagrant foul because of it. That was atleast a 4 point turnaround, with the potential for it to be 6 or 7 pts since we did have the ball. The timing of your missed call is what is remembered since it was near the end of the game. Had the same thing happened with 16 minutes to go in the first half, I doubt it is EVER brought up again.

You want to talk about "strange things", how about Jankovich advancing to and losing 3 times in the Arch Madness championship game, two of which were in OT? Maybe that is another MVC conspiracy.

I don't suppose Jankovich threw a fit in his post-game presser.

Apparently from the CU board, Gregg walked into a restaurant in St. Louis on Saturday night and a CU fan bought him a drink and had the waitress tell him it was from Booker Woodfox....hilarious if true.

I lost a lot of respect for Jank, even more so than from his scheduling tactics, when he decided to turn the game into a mugging party with a streetfigher mentality on Saturday. Quite the strategy and the "strange things" seemed to allow it. Bravo on the plan, but yes, I did lose respect for him then.

Classy, if true. It seems like more Creighton fans are interested in this thread than Illinois State and Wichita State fans.

Creighton fans are a very classy bunch, as I'm sure most of the masses can attest to.

"I do not believe there is a conspiracy against Wichita State."

He also said he was given the green light to go before IlSU in the presser but that wasn't supposed to happen. Proper protocol is listed in the 100-page MVC bylaws and he did not read it and he apologized.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever heard on this board.
