We have some decent recruits for next year. Just a need a Juco big man or otherwise next year will be really similar to this year.

Recruits for next season:

D.J. Balentine 6'2", 170 lbs. Point Guard
Adam Wing 6'4", 210 lbs. Shooting Guard
David Howard 6'8", 225 lbs. Power Forward

I have a feeling good Juco 5's are a rare commodity. We (Bears) really need one too.

I have been impressed by Marty Simmons on the sidelines. I think he's a solid coach. As for the condition of the program generally, Evansville went from a perennial cellar-dwellar to two straight top-six finishes. Next year they will be picked to finish top three. Any talk of his seating being hot is completely unwarranted.

I like Marty too, but I am not sure they get picked top 3 next year with what other teams gain/lose. I think Creighton and Illinois State will be the top two picks going into next year, Drake only loses Alexander and Woods and gets back Van Deest, UNI only loses Moran, Wichita State will re-load, Bradley will improve, Indiana State loses some good players but get a healthy Odum, assume McWhorter and Mahurin continue to improve, etc.

Could be another year with 5 teams tied for 3rd.

Isn't Holmes a senior this year?

Yes, Holmes is a senior. If they don't get some real presence in the paint next year, another .500 year can be expected. A good Juco 5 player, or one hell of a freshman is needed in the worst way. Neither is easy to find.

So, what are the early rumors as to who will be the next Saluki Coach?

Is Weber a real possibility? Would they try and take Lusk?
