So what is a public reprimand of a coach? A slap on the wrist with conference officials in solemn tones saying, "you were a very bad boy."

I just saw a tweet that Marshall has been "publicly reprimanded" by the MVC. I'm guessing that's what you're referring to?

some coaches never fully recover from it, it can fracture the fan base. GM is a dam fine coach, he needs to get a grip on his emotions.

Pretty sure champ didn't mean that it was the first time a D1 coach has ever been reprimanded. I think he meant a first for the MVC. No idea if that's true or not? But I don't remember a public reprimand in the MVC at least not in quite a while.

well it is official - Gregg Marshall is mean and doesn't kiss Elgin butt. Marshall has now been put on double-secret probation beside this public reprimand.
