That's the difference between WSU fans and Creighton fans. We don't feel the need to start threads about winning the championship like WSU posters did. We don't complain about moderators not congratulating us soon enough after the game. We know we won it and don't feel the need to rub it in everybody's faces. Instead, we complement our competitors for a well fought game.

You're right. You'd rather talk about WSU/Marshall and anything to bait, taunt, and belittle WSU and its fans. You may be more a fan of hating WSU than a fan of loving Creighton.

This is where you get into trouble all of the time here. What threads did WSU fans start that begged for championship congratulations? I saw 1 thread that was devoted to crow. That was it. I think 1 WSU fan came out wondering why no one congratulated WSU on the Valley title. You, like always, beef things up worse than they ever are. And clearly, WSU fans NEVER compliment their competitors for a great game. Not at all. It's never been said once on here. EVIL, EVIL WSU.

Instead of talking about the upcoming NCAA's, instead of talking about a Creighton Valley Tournament Championship, the majority of this board would rather continue the pile on about a reprimand. Let's keep repeating the same thing over and over. WSU will always be the hot topic on here. Nobody can ever get enough.

When a coach acts like a child, and has to be publicly scolded by the conference it tends to be a story that people want to discuss. There is no "piling on" WSU. Its a legitimate discussion about a legitimate story.

And on top of that, there are people like you that are completely fabricating a story about McD to try and deflect away from WSU, and people like 2livewu saying that nobody else can or will be relevant as long as Marshall is around. It tends to stir up some talk and negativity toward your Shockers.

Yep, clearly we haven't piled on long enough in this thread for me to deflect similar blame to a coach that gets off freely for another incident because he doesn't wear yellow and black. Man, you UNI fans are a funny bunch. Hating and whining about McDermott and Creighton one second, and then quickly rushing to their side the next. Of course, when everybody is against EVILWSU, it makes sense.

Wait a second? Creighton fans devoting a 7 page thread to officiating? Even assertions that there is a conspiracy against Creighton when it comes to officiating? Wait a second. That's asinine. Only EVIL WSU fans think of that kind of stuff. But this won't even be worth the bat of an eyelash here, because it's not EVIL WSU fans saying these things.

You know why this issue just doesn't die? Let me give some explanation.

1) After the initial presser, WSU fans said there was nothing more to see and that everyone should move on. But guess what? The issue wasn't over and Elgin publicly reprimanded Marshal for his comments.

2) Then when responding to the reprimand, Marshal took another shot by saying that his feelings about the game remained the same. Many, including several people on Shockernet, are wondering if there may be further action taken. If Marshall wanted the issue to die, he should have issued a standard apology instead of pouring out a gas can on the smoldering campfire. If WSU fans want other fans to stop talking about it, they should tell Marshal to STFU.

3) When you allege a conspiracy, people want to know details. That is sort of the nature of a conspiracy - it begs questions about how deep does the conspiracy run; who all is involved; why does the conspiracy exist; etc. Make no mistake about it - even if you want to take the position that Marshal didn't allege a conspiracy, many WSU posters certainly have. Just check out Aargh's latest post for the most recent exmple.

4) Marshal 's comments and thinly disguised conspiracy allegations weren't just an attack on one other team; they were an attack on the entire league. In essence he has alleged the entire league is corrupt or fixed. That is offensive to every other member of the league which is why you are getting comments from posters of so many different teams.

Of course, when everybody is against EVILWSU, it makes sense.

It is hard not to be paranoid when everyone is out to get you all the time, right?

Coach Marshall is emotional and intensely driven to win. He shares very few of Knight's negative qualities, though. He has always been very respectful to his players and those around him ... he has nothing even resembling the awful controversies that surrounded Knight, which, for reflection's sake, I've trimmed down and included from Wikipedia's list:

The bold and underlined part is 100 percent incorrect. That guy isn't respectful to league personnel, WSU staffers, reporters, etc.

There isn't a conspiracy against WSU or a vendetta against Gregg Marshall. The reality is that WSU has GM as its coach because of Elgin and now you all think Elgin is out to get him and WSU?

That guy has pulled the wool over the eyes of many, many Shocker fans. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. He'll say all the right things to the WSU fans and they'll love him for it. But he isn't fooling anyone else.

He can put a team together -- I'll never deny that -- but he's not a victim here.

For future reference, can you please tell us all which officials have it in for Marshall? I'd like a comprehensive list.

I'd also like a list of the officials that WSU fans are convinced will call a fair game.

I'd still like these lists by the way. It might help my future wagering if WSU pulls any of these refs in the tournament.
