to the few complaints that mid majors always get matched with mid majors...

WSU is a (5) seed and 3 out of 4 (12) seeds are mid majors. Temple who next year will not be but this year is a mid major got matched up with the major. So not sure what you want done.

Thank goodness WSU isn't playing a major as a (5) seed. All that would have meant was that another non deserving major got in and a deserving mid didn't.

Personally I love the VCU matchup. I think these seniors and any other players that were on the team last year want another shot at them. Plus Marshall is typically pretty good at revenge games. Bring it on! Nothing too scary until Kentucky, and even they are beatable. It'll just take a VERY good game to do it. Gotta play the best at some point...let's get it on!

I wanted the Shockers to beat a team from the so called Power 6.

Good luck to the Shox and Blue Jays! Tough draws, don't like WSU going against VCU but they should win. Think Shox go to sweet sixteen but UK will be very tough to beat, but hoping they will(UL fan).

The committee emphasized non conference strength of schedule apparently. Creightons non con sos was 189. Playing and beating wsu in the conference championship would have helped them immensely.

If that's the case, so be it. Gotta love how the committee picks and chooses a different thing to emphasize every couple of years, though. One year it's road wins, another it's non-conference schedules, another its overall RPI. I just wish they'd stay consistent or something so teams could be proactive rather than reactive.

Don't forget the "whenever needed" eye test excuse.

Agreed. 28 wins in a top ten conference, MVC champs...That has to be worth at least a 7.

You shoulda laid down for the 'Birds. That way you would have avoided the dreaded 8-9 seed and we would have had three teams in the NCAA. Shame on you.

It's not that the committee picks and chooses, it's that each individual committee member can pick and choose what he (or she) feels is important.

And there is something very wrong with that. There needs to be more uniformity with the whole process.

But, there is a different committee every year as well.

Committee members serve 5 year terms.

1-3 members rotate out ever year.
