The same Davidson team that WSU smoked on their home court was able to hang with Louisville a bit. I think the media is making this WSU/VCU game out to more than it might be. It's definitely a storyline game. WSU's loss to VCU likely kept them out of the tourney last year as one makes the deep run in the NCAA tourney and the other wins the NIT.
I was convinced the team in the Valley that could hang with VCU's pace for an entire game, and even force them into something else, was WSU.
UNI played VCU's hectic pace the entire game, and honestly was in it until the last 2 minutes and were quickly taken out of it by just flat running out of gas (and a couple of the calls didn't help either).
WSU's speed and athletcism (yes I defend UNI's athletisism and speed all the time and what not) is clearly a step above pretty much everyone in the conference this year and should be a real issue for VCU
I got WSU by 8-10
