Does Valley Conference Play Prepare a Team for the NCAAs?

Lack of good defensive teams in the Valley is a problem IMO. Wish we had the old SIU defensive teams to challenge and force our soft offenses to adapt, learn, improve before dancing.

Yes, the Valley does prepare teams for the NCAA tournament. No question about it.

As for VCU, it was clearly a tough draw and I had VCU pegged as one of my upset specials prior to the selection because of their style. It is just a shame that no one on WSU had seen anything like VCU in the last couple of years, had no way to get tape of anyone from the conference playing VCU this season, or had any notion of who or what VCU was about prior to taking the floor on Thursday...

wichita could have and should have won the game, they were prepared fine by the 4 and a half months of basketball leading up to the game. wsu has a backcourt that is quick enough and experienced enough to handle their pressure better than they did. i believe they were rusty in the first half because they hadn't played a game in 12 days, but they were 6 point favorites so apparently vegas thought the mvc prepared them adequately enough. if the line were a pickem then you could have read that vegas thought the mvc had not adequately prepared them.
