In something like 12 hours - not a single "congrats for keeping your coach" post.

Not a single acknowledgement that Marshall producing a winning program is good for the MVC. Not a single comment that producing an at-large NCAA team is good for the Valley. Not a single comment that an MVC team keeping a coach that produced a top-20 team is good for the league.

Congrats.

But he's still a d-bag.

Just hating for no reason. I really enjoy hearing from other teams fans, but you just can't post anything about WSU without someone being mad about it.

Good for WSU regarding keeping Marshall. It's a good thing for the Valley. Some of us don't care for some of his public comments. But there's no doubt he's a good coach and a good fit at WSU.

Regarding Grillz comment I took that as just his meaning that WSU won't be a factor this coming year? With what they are losing that's entirely possible. Some have said the same regarding MSU for the coming year. I don't see that as hating?

$2 mil a year at Nebraska must have been a figment of his imagination or Tom Osborne is a liar......take your pick but I would be hard pressed to believe that a coach who has never won an NCAA game at Wichita (or maybe anywhere else, can't remember?) would get that kind of an offer anywhere? Me thinks he thinks too much of himself.

He did win one game at Winthrop as a 13 or 14 seed.

This would be the second consecutive year that the media agreed with HCGMs imagination as last year he dreamed that NCST had offered him 1.9 million which he turned down. I wish my dreams carried so much weight.

If the fans are happy at Wichita that the coach is staying, that is probably the most important thing. I've observed WSU basketball for a lot of years. I think the biggest asset at Wichita State is the fans relentless belief in and support of the basketball team, regardless of who the coach is.

It's because this place is a cesspool of jealousy from the top down. Everyone loves to hate wsu, and I personally love it and it amuses me that grown men/women act this way.

Gee, it's been like 10 MONTHS since the Jacobson to Texas A&M thread and you never posted anything in that thread about it being a good thing for him to stay at UNI, it being good for the Valley, yada, yada..

Insecure a little bit?

Pat your own back or let one of the legions of Shocker fans do it for you.

I thought WSU was supposed to be the pinnacle for college coaches and so there should never be a worry about a coach leaving for greener pastures from there. Maybe I am wrong and WSU really is in the same boat as everyone else in this conference.

Ya, you pretty much are wrong. The only other school in the valley that can even claim to be comparable to wsu are the Bj's. I'm talking talent, resources, coaching, etc.
