Of course they want a HR hire. But does anyone really think they are going to get Shaka Smart, Brad Stevens or even Gregg Marshall? I sure don't. I think they will get someone who with ties to K-State or the Big 12.

Whats the key I wonder, having a bunch of 5 stars in the starting lineup and your entire bench being top 150 guys?

No doubt Self is a great coach but he isn't doing anything better than other good coaches. He is simply at an absolute elite program. Rain Man could coach the Jayhawks into the S16 most years and he is a ratard.

Self is a proven coach that has won at Oral Roberts, Tulsa, and Illinois. He has won the B12 (very good conference most years) something like 8 years in a row, along with two final fours and a national title.

here.. trying to help you out

You used the word proven I used the word great.

You missed my point, Jank didn't learn from him at ORU, TU, or Ill. He learned from him at Kansas. Kansas is successful in the Big 12 regardless of the coach because they are Kansas. That isn't a knock on Bill Self, as I went out of my way to note yet you failed to read. The ratard quote was simply messing with a movie quote. Obviously not anybody can be successful at Kansas, it was more to demonstrate via absurdity the gigantic advantage KU has over the big 12 or almost anybody for that matter.

Also that wasn't a swipe at Jank, just saying learning how to win in the big 12 at KU isn't exactly transferable to other big 12 schools.

What's the word in Saluki Land? The more I read, the more I find Hinson to SIU

Any SIU fans close the program on here?

Kansas State fans are NOT happy. That was all the special effects I could use to emphasize "not".

Here's one of the kinder comments with an MVC reference:
Quote from: Chingon on Today at 12:57:50 PM

It mean Southern Illinois didn't want him back.

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS.

to be fair, why would they hire Weber when they could get a KU assistant instead?
