I had Drake as a dark horse in the conference race next season. Not anymore.

Was he having issues with Phelps? What's sad is that if simons didn't get mono, I bet Drake finishes a lot better this past season. I really thought the trio of Rice, Simons and Van Deest were going to do some damage in the valley next season. They will still be decent, but probably middle of the pack.

without Rice there will be much more attention on Simons. As good as Simons is, it will make a huge impact on his effectiveness. Drake will be lucky to finish top half next year.

The Bulldogs don't have an offense and Rice was the only returning player who could create his own shot. This team could be decent with a real coach, but most likely a Thursday night team again now.
