4. Illinois State --- Other than Jackie Carmichael and maybe a few others; still a young team. They start MVC play off good but falter down the stretch. (NIT SEED = 1); **(On the Bubble)**

Certainly entitled to your opinion of us finishing 4th, but you are a bit off. We were young last season, not next season. We have been building towards this year.

Brown, Clark, Cousin, Wilkins and Carmichael are Seniors
Allen, Ekey[RS], Upshaw[RS] are juniors
Moore, Threloff [RS] and Hill are Sophomores
Jones[RS], Zeisloft[RS], Simpson and Beane Jr. are Freshman

I bolded our starters and underlined our first guys off the bench as well as indicated who redshirted.

We’re talking DOFO! He’s a young boy (15ish) that posts on Shockernet as PlaneShocker. Often seen wearing a shirt in St. Louis with "DOFO" stamped on the back. He’s a legend on Shockernet; at least in his own mind. He likes to think he’s running with the big dogs. :Bam:

Heard from a pretty good source in the athletic department that WSU has contracts in the works with Tennessee and Alabama. Both home and homes with Bama starting at home and Tennessee starting on the road.

If this works out i'd be happy with getting some bigger names on the schedule.

If true, very nice.....CU got Cal in a home and home. I like it! Now if Jank can get on board....

We would jump at the chance to play any BCS squads in a home/home. It just doesn't happen for us though. We had to sell out the football team to Northwestern just to get a home/home with them.

Maybe the new guy at Illinois won't be opposed to a home/home, but somehow I doubt it.

I don't buy "it just doesn't happen for us" arguement. Jank is in the scheduling mindset of cupcake city and racking up as many wins as he can. Unfortunately that doesn't help once MVC play starts and doesn't help ISU's RPI or any other Valley team.

I completely agree. I have it in my head that Jank is a firm believer that 20+ wins, regardless of the competition, is they key to getting a job at the next level. Our next coach should have to sign a contract indicating that he will never schedule a SWAC team, or any team with a 200+ RPI...

Good luck completing a schedule. Is there a team in the country that doesn't schedule a team with a 200+ RPI?

Yeah, those teams from RPI 200-348 are dogs and would never beat ISU Red in basketball.
