2012 - '13 MVC Non-Conf. schedules

Tulsa, Cancun tourney (Western Carolina at home, Iowa, Howard, DePaul in Mexico) VCU, MWC/MVC, Ball Busters, Air Force, Charleston Southern, Tennessee, Bama. Not too bad.

I am pretty sure there is not a home game associated with the Battle 4 Atlantis that UNI is in unless they have a second tournament of 8 smaller school teams playing opposite the big bracket of 8. I haven;t heard of any home game tied to it.

Coach Jacobson mentioned the extra home game tied to B4A on the MVC conference call last week. He said that was still to be scheduled.

I would not be surprised to see UNI's non-conf schedule ranks pretty high nationally when its all said and done.

Of what is known thus far the Panthers will have:

-3 games in Battle 4 Atlantis tournament field that consists of Duke, Memphis, Louisville, Stanford, Missouri, Minnesota, and VCU.
-@ UNLV (MWC-MVC challenge)
-Home against St Marys
-Neutral against Iowa (in Des Moines)
-@ George Mason
-Home against Milwaukee

And there has also been some discussion as to the possibility of VCU playing at UNI to return their BB game from last year. Likely will happen two years from now, but still possible of it happening this year.

Incredibly challenging schedule on paper, hopefully its not too much for UNI to handle.

Dayton, Louisville and Northwestern should be decent games. I'm assuming Louisville is one and done and Dayton is home and home? Hopefully the new coach can add a couple more good games to challenge the redbirds. This schedule already looks tougher than any Jank put together.

SIU released their schedule today. Highlights include a home and home series against New Orleans and a home game against Benedictine University Springfield in their inaugural basketball season.

Please tell me Hinson inherited this schedule and didn't put it together himself?

I think Lowery and his staff put together almost all of the games on this schedule - with the possible exceptions of New Orleans and Benedictine, and the definite exception of the tournament at Utah State.

Yes, Louisville is a one and done and Dayton is a home/home. Our schedule the following season is already shaping up very nicely. @Northwestern, vs. Dayton, @Oakland
