Henry is a project. African players are hard to qualify (see: Orukpe). He was sent to a Juco that is "friendly" to the university. We will still get 2 to 3 years out of him depending on if he redshirts.

Teddy is in close contact with the coaching staff and is trying desperately to get here. His academic shortcomings are not HCGM's fault.

All this being said, I don't know how we could fit one more player on our team... we are loaded to a point that is mind boggling. If Teddy makes it, he will most likely be paying his own way. Can you imagine a "walk-on" that would start for every other team in the Valley? That's the kind of "problem" we are suffering from. Somebody needs to take away coach's keys to the Learjet for a while, we simply have no more room...

It's a great day to be a Shocker!

I am surprised the NCAA hasn't forced the shockers to play a man down, I mean with all that talent how is it even conceivable that they are even allowed to play 5 on 5? They return 13 pts from last years team and if all of thier incoming players adapt real quick they might be competitive. I just love the Marshall model, recruit copious amounts of jucos each year so I can get a pay raise. Oh, and about that jet, congrats on perfecting the art of expanding your pipeline, that should be really helpful in SEC recruiting next summer. Enjoy your 1.4 million dollar coach, he really enjoys you.

Man down? I understand your sentiment, but with all the talent signed, we need to play 6 men on the floor just to get everybody a couple minutes. I seriously don't understand how coach Marshall is able to bring in this many talented players with them knowing that if they don't produce, they won't play. Nobody has a guarantee at Wichita State. You either produce, or you wither and die on the vine (bench).

Yep, Fred Van Vleet; 4 star, top 100, recruited by everybody...

"Van Vleet faced off against five star guard Kevin Ferrell, 2013's number one prospect Andrew Harrison, C.J. Reese, and others and Van Vleet out performed them all."

Oh, you said something about Juco's...?

Nick Wiggins: Son of an NBA'r, older brother of the top overall HS recruit in 2013, recruited by numerous BCS schools..

Cleanthony Early: He's one of two players to earn repeat AA honors this century and the first to be a first teamer twice. He was also voted player of the year in 2012.

Both players have been cited by several sources as NBA prospects.

I'll take Juco players like these (and so will a dozen or so BCS schools) every day and twice on Sunday, thanks!

Keep praying he's leaving.

We certainly do enjoy our 2 million+ dollar coach. Oh, and by the way, he makes $1,482,000.00 a year, not 1.4M. Next year he will make at least $1,632,000.00 unless we renegotiate his contract and pay him more.

It's a very great day to be a Shocker!

I apologize, I only feed the troll once but Rivals has Van Fleet as a 3 star recruit and not in the Top 100. Also only one other MVC team had offered him (Missori St) and his only other notable offer was Colorado St (or Northern Illinois if you mistook them for a good team like UNI ;) ). He's a good player and the Shox and MVC are lucky to have him but lets not over-inflate numbers (or at least tell us where you got those figures, and please don't say ESPN or I may actually find a way to lose even more respect for your opinions).

Also does anyone else find it strange that someone is bragging about how they have to pay their coach $2M/year? Heck, maybe UNI and Creighton fans should start bragging how we pay our about coaches 1/4 and 1/2 of that salary, yet have more NCAA wins, appearances and MVC titles than Marshall. Last time I checked their recruitment classes were shaping up very nicely too. Or am I missing something?
[Insert snappy comeback]

At some point it will be a good day to be a shocker because you actually win a conference tournament....or win an NCAA game....

Until then....congrats on over paying based on results.

As a Shocker fan, tards like Cold and a few others make our fan base look like a bunch of f**ks. Yes i know its annoying to see/read, but try and ignore it like a lot of shocker fans try to, not all of us are "special" like those few.

I am pretty sure that the practice of under promising and over delivering has merit.

I could be wrong though.
