I hate to say it, but all in all, this might be good for the Valley and good for E-Ville. Now if E-Ville bolts and the Valley picks up UMKC, not so good.

My sources tell me it was high level officials in Evansville, league jet, secret meetings in the Ford Center and a sealed envelope with an official invite.

This. I've often been a proponent of E'ville going elsewhere (have been met with hostility elsewhere when I mentioned it).

Now, it we need a team to replace them (if this is all true)...UMKC is unacceptable. I don't know of a "good" replacement that would "accept" and invite...

I don't think Evansville is leaving the Valley... BUT if they did, you know Doug Elgin has a list. Who is the first school we'd want to add?

To be clear, I don't think this is happening.

If it did-

Oral Roberts?
Milwaukee?
New Mexico State?

I would hope all of these schools are on a short list. I would also hope that Elgin has contacted all of these schools With informal discussions and actually has a short list in place.
