That is true. I'd also add that McDermott is a significantly better rebounder, a better passer and a bit taller.

Truthfully, what does it matter? Everyone wants to have lottery picks on their team, but what does that do for the team itself? I am not sure if he will be in the NBA or not. Even if he never really makes a name for himself in the NBA it doesn't diminish what kind of college player he was. What I do know is that he makes Creighton a much better team as long as he wears their jersey. Regardless, he will make alot of money playing pro somewhere and he may even have a degree should he stay at Creighton long enough.

I'm not saying that the NBA shouldn't matter completely. Obviously it probably helps on the recruiting trail a little...etc. Every college player dreams of playing in the NBA. However, when you get right down to it, it doesn't necessarily translate to winning on the court. As everyone knows, winning is what REALLY matters. As far as I can tell, Doug definately helps his team win.

It's hard not to slam Creighton and to give credit where it is due, but I'm just calling it as I see it.

I agree. That was a bit over the top. The poster complains about rules being broken with trolling but then personally attacks someone. Isn't that also against the rules?
