This was a very telling game. We are not where we need to be, but we will be soon. For this team to win on the road at a great venue shows our potential. We are fast, long, very athletic and look to be pretty smart. If Ehimen learns to catch the ball and make baskets within 4 feet of the basket we will be in the top two of the Valley. We are going to be one scary team come January and I would not want to be playing us in March.

By relative standings in preseason polls,a 60% team in the Valley (4th out of 10 = 6/10) just beat a 79% team in the A-10 (3rd out of 14 = 11/14). And did it on the road.

If those preseason predictions are correct, the Valley should have no problem finishing ahead of the A-10 in conference ranking this year.

Now it's UNI's and IlSU's turn to hold up their end of the deal by getting a quality win to help the Valley's ratings.

That game was very reminiscent of SIU of old. WSU might struggle scoring at times but defense will win them games. The question I have is how good is VCU?

I'm not trying to diminish the win. VCU is supposed to be pretty good. They didn't look like it last night so the question I have is whether that was because of what WSU did or because VCU was overrated.
