Tale of two halves by the Jays, our offense finally started hitting in the second half and UAB went cold. Nice to see Creighton beat UAB by 17 when Doug only scores 5 points. BTW, looks like UNI/Toledo is going to OT, this would be a horrible loss to 0-2 Toledo.

Jays were horrible most of the night going against a "pack it in and beat us from the 3 line" D. They looked like they read too many of their press clippings the first 25 minutes and UAB played inspired ball. Kudos to them.

Better figure out that everyone is going to give us their best shot.

Edit: The last 15 minutes were a beautiful thing.

Last time I checked, its a 40 minute game and the only score that matters is the final one. CU was ahead at that score by 17. I'll take that when Doug only has 5 points. We have so many shooters its crazy and it will take a really, really bad night for nobody to be hot from 3-land. 2 games, 2 wins by 15+. Its a good start so far for CU.

So....you're saying CU would finish with the same record if Doug averaged 5 points per game as they would if he put up 25 ppg?

Well I'm glad I asked Echinique to step up his defense earlier, cause seriously, he put on a defensive show tonight!

I almost feel like after Doug got in trouble in the first half, coach told GE to be careful because he was really playing tentative.

In the second half however, he was an absolute beast - 16rebounds, 4 blocked shots, 13 points, 1 steal where he just ripped the ball out of the opponents hands and two or three times he stripped it, but a different UAB guy got the loose ball.

It was ugly for a long time, but good to see that the team can win when Doug isn't a factor. Also, the flu went thru the team this week with backup PG, backup center and Manigat still suffering tonight.

I'm with ya. I didn't realize it before, but I just noticed that he was perfect shooting tonight too: 5-5 from the floor and 3-3 from the line.
