This is the time to build depth. We are deep as it is, but we can be deeper in terms of quality. And will need to be IMHO. It is what it is. Saw some good things out there tonight and things to continue to work on. On to the next one. Plus this 6 games in 11 days or whatever it is, probably a good idea to spread minutes around when you can to save legs....etc.

Fugly win for the Shox. Marshall mixed up the lineups again and spread out the minutes. Early with a very JUCOish 21 points. Only 1 three pointer though. He may be a liability.

WSU's bench outscores WCU 43-7. Marshall in the postgame said he was more concerned with building depth than for 30 point victories.

Are you effing kidding? The win was on the ugly side, but Marshall ended up coaching like it was a practice instead of a game. The scoring margin and methods of scoring were in no way, shape, or form designed to maximize the scoring margin or the "prettiness" of the game.

Early with a very JUCOish 21 points

You are either understating to create confidence in opponents' fan bases or totally missing how basketball is played. Early was consistently finding holes in the D and getting to spots where he could receive a pass and have a route to the hoop.

If beating a defender with or without the ball and getting a clear path to the basket for a high percentage shot is "JUCOish", then I don't understand basketball.

I assumed this was the case when I saw the final. Shold be a team the Shox could take to the woodshed and back again if they wanted to. 6 in 11 days is a lot, so is playing this one two days after the VCU grinder. W is a W.
