Anything else? Jeez. Wragge does a good job mixing it up and does better than average defending. He was not defending the stringbean freshman from Iowa. Wisconsin was "tough" inside and is one of the more physical teams in the country.

So sorry we won.

I think you should check the time on that post. Greg had just sat down in the first half. Doug was defending the center (and not the big guy) and Ethan was defending the power forward. On three straight possessions Wisky passed to one of the bigs who had established position. They methodically pounded the ball while Doug and Ethan held their hands in the air in the "Touchdown" signal formation while the big Wiskeys backed them to within 2 foot of the goal. They turned around and hit a set shot through the uprights and off the backboard. It was really, really bad defense.

The overall post defense was not great, however that was not the story of this game. I had not previously seen much of Chatman and he was very impressive! In fact, in this one game, I thought he looked significantly better than Young looked last year, and that says a lot.

I was very impressed with Wragge's shooting. He is a good offensive stretch four, and one of the best shooters in the league.

Gibbs, McDermott, and Echineque all looked impressive, as I remembered them last year. The offense was very active. The defensive intensity was higher than what I remember from Creighton last year.

Very good win and go get ASU!

Good win for Creighton. I think you got the tough one out of the way. Finish it off tonight.

What an unbelievable game! In hindsight that would have made the trip to Vegas so worth it regardless of the outcome tonight. Obviously our interior defense drops off without Echenique as CU struggled to keep them from scoring on the inside until they started trapping their 4 and that made a huge difference. As Coach McDermott said CU will never be a great defensive squad, but if they can be in the top 100 then I like their chances for a sweet 16 run. Besides CU I am also impressed with WSU and IlSt starts. Looks like it will be a three team race for the championship unless Northern Iowa gets it in gear which is totally possible.

Good job last night Creighton. That was an entertaining game. Jays look a lot like last year, except for the fact that at times you played some pretty good defense. If you could find 40 minutes of that defensive effort that you had towards the end of the 2nd half....look out. Regardless, Creighton is gonna be tough to beat.

Being on Creighton's side is like being the side of The Israelites. How can you lose?
