Trophies for everyone!!!!!!!

I'm agreeing with you MoVJ about the big tie for first, but for a different reason.
My prediction for this year is instead of a big tie for 3-7 as happened last year, there will be a big 4-5 way tie at the top. I just feel there is going to a lot of good competition out there. A lot of folks want to go somewhere in March it seems. Could mean good news for the Valley this time, maybe more than 2 teams rated.

Some of these posts are precious. There should be some kind of library for them, so that we can have an easy and instant recall for comparison purposes.

It would be nice to compare the dream to the nightmare or somethin' like that.

December is UE's big test. Colorado State(A),Butler(A),MurrayState(H)&Miami Oh(H). They also have Periennal power house Oakland City and winless Alabama State, both home games. Then right before yearend 12/29 the game I'm waiting on Creighton in Omaha.

Yep December is a important month for the Aces. If UE goes 6-0,not counting OCU, Y'all will still be dismissing UE and talkin about how unfair the Omaha refs were

I want to make sure I got this straight.....so you are predicting a UE victory in Omaha?????

I want to make sure I got this straight.....Creighton has reading comprehension classes for their students

Would you have predicted Butler being in the Final 4 after UE beat them at their house? Nor will I predict March in November.
30 days maybe a different story. Who do you play now?

My point exactly. Let's play the games and see how it goes.

It's a little easier to predict the outcome of a season than the outcome of a single game or a couple games in a tournament. I've checked UE's games, stats, and roster, and I'm not seeing much when I compare that to what is generally considered the top teams in the Valley.

Drake is looking better than expected over the off-season. DU could push UE into the bottom half of the league. It looks like there's going to be a battle for 5th/6th. For either team to do better than that, one of the top 4 would have to either stumble big time, or have injury or other problems.

I'm excited to see how Evansville and Indiana State fair against top 50-100 type teams. Both have shown that, when healthy, they are cable of dismantling weak teams and capable of being out-classed by ranked opponents. Drake has shown that they are close but no cigar.

Some fan bases have already made March predictions based on one exempt tournament.

In the MVC, bids can be lost in November. I am concerned about our chances and I am sure many MVC fan bases are too.

:+1: We need to beat UNLV or our tough OOC schedule didn't help us much.

This post is too funny. For Drake and Evansville to finish in the top 4 then the other teams would have to have an injury or stumble....Maybe, just maybe it was because Evansville and Drake were actually pretty good. But lets not give them credit ;)

Evansville Beat Creighton last year and lost at Creighton by 1 point. UE also beat UNI. They also beat ISU and lost to them on a fluke 3. This years UE team is better then last years team. With that said, so is Creighton and ISU. Wichita and UNI or not any better then they were last year IMO.

It will how work itself out during the conference schedule. UE will be right there in the top half of the standings. I fully expect them to lose @Colorado St and @Butler in the non conference and a tough game against Murray St. But when the conference starts, I think they will be battle tested, have faced adversity and continue to get better throughout the year. Overlooking them will be a big mistake by anyone in the league.
