All conferences have them, every single one. So instead of acting like whinny babies and complaining about them sucking except the game they beat you. Go out and beat the bad teams. If you are NCAA worthy that shouldn't be a problem.

Really? If you win 20 games and go .500 in the B1G, you are pretty much in. That is how it works for the big boys.

The loss to Buffalo was the result of losing Colt Ryan early in that game....nothing more, nothing less. It is hard to replace your team's superstar or leader that quickly.

Aces fans do not need to apologize to anyone for our team losing a game. We are upset when we lose, trust me. I want the Aces to go 30-0 every year! But, if you want to earn an at-large bid at the end of the year, beat us so we do not need to hear the griping, complaining, and whining. If we are really that bad, and your team can't sweep us, then your team apparently is not NCAA worthy anyway.

You're good so far.

To use your example:
If you're Michigan State and you lose to Penn State, you fall from a #3 seed all the way to a #5. No big since the B1G is getting 7 bids anyway. When you're 24-2 UNI and lose to a 8-18 Bradley squad late in February, you fall from a #12 out of the field altogether.

Exactly. I do want the Aces to win all of their ooc games, I want all Valley teams to do the same. And every Valley team has lost to a garbage team as well, it isn't just Evansville. I understand all of that. The cavalier, I don't give a s*** attitude what the Buffalo loss does to everyone else is where I am at a loss. And frustrated.

I am glad you are upset. Then again, even without Colt, you should have won that game. I think there was a game earlier this season where Doug McDecommit hardly played due to fouls and ineffectiveness. The Creighton offense revolves around him. I think it was a garbage team, but Creighton won without him.

So .500 in the B1G shouldn't be a bubble team? Two wins over Iowa, two wins over Nebraska, two over Minnesota and one over Penn State, by your definition, is better than a bubble team? Throw an upset in over Illinois and you are a mortal lock!!!

Such beasts are extraordinarily rare.

Last year, Northwestern was a bubble team with an 8-11 mark in the conference. They probably would have been in if Morehead State hadn't won the OVC autobid, regardless of their "bad" losses (to Minnesota and Illinois, both top 100 teams)

The "Bad" MVC teams are usually around RPI 250, not 90.

There is one Evansville fan that gets this rather basic concept. And that fan is pafan.

I'm just going to chalk it up to Evansville fans used to being the RPI killers that they usually are and therefore can't grasp the concept of what's going on on the other side of the fence - the fence where NCAA Tournament teams play in.
USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll Conference Breakdown:

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

The Big East is Big Time.
