10:25 left.
CU 51
NE 30
Timeout Huskers.

Jays getting a lot of steals, but I think its more sloppy ball control for NE than anything new CU has added.

Final media TO
CU 59

CU is on cruise at this point. I think Gregory Echinique is done for the evening, and has been for a while.

EDIT: GE came back in out of the TO

We played Nebraska slow ball style and still beat them 21 points. Nice win for the Jays.

McDermott said after the game that Jones "blacked out" before the game and was taken to a Lincoln hospital. Jones had heart surgery in high school so there was understandable need for caution.

If my calculation is correct, Creighton now 7-1 against BCS teams in the last two seasons.

Scary deal for Josh and his family, along with teammates and coaches I'm sure:

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Creighton guard Josh Jones will be held overnight and undergo further testing Friday at a Lincoln hospital after passing out before the Bluejays' game against Nebraska.
Coach Greg McDermott wrote in a text message to The Associated Press on Thursday night that Jones ''is tired but doing well.''

McDermott said after the game that Jones fainted during pregame warmups. He was taken out of the Devaney Center on a stretcher.

Jones was diagnosed with a bacterial infection - infective endocarditis - early in his senior year at Omaha Central High School. He underwent open-heart surgery to replace his aortic valve with one formed from cow tissue.

He resumed playing basketball in December 2007 and hadn't had any heart issues since.

Really scary deal for Josh it sounds like, he's a great kid and important for this team.

It was probably hard for the team to focus right at the start of the game and probably accounted for a bit of the sloppy play to start the game.

Hope he is alright and back soon!

What a scary thing to have happen right before a game. I read an article in SI a couple weeks back about Loyola Marymount and the tragic death of Hank Gathers and that's the first thing that came to mind. As much as I'm sure he wants to get back on the court today, it might be in his best interest to shut it down.

If a team plans on beating the one man Blue Bird team, then it had better have a damn good plan for shutting down Dougie.

Dougie is an outrageous, scoring machine. Sometimes he ain't pretty, but he sure puts the ball in the hole.

Nebraska's defense on him was awful. Mainly it was due to not having anyone, who could guard him. Duh.
